about

"Sleeper Train" refers to a slow sixteen-hour railway journey lived by the group in Russia ; it calls to mind the train's rolling, the images moving. The four musicians, in activated "daydreaming" mode, had then plunged into the observation of the inhabitants working along the Volga. They had kept the fire alive with long discussions, rhythmed by the jolts of the wagon, and shared drinks. This is how they actually conceive music: an immersion, a simple and serious activity like child's play, a journey that stretches, a smile that lasts a long time. For them, as ingredients you need, there must be meaning and joy, a breath and an organic groove. And only then can alchemy arise: that grace, that poetry that appears, at the most unpredictable moment, when the musicians explore their terra incognita.
After their debut album Old and New Songs, the group led by Frédéric Chiffoleau and Yoann Loustalot continues to write and pass on their life diary.
